Welcome
Wilmington is situated in the aptly named Beautiful Valley in the District Council of Mount Remarkable.
It is a small rural town of several hundred people with the main industry being agriculture.
Founded in 1970 Wilmington Kindergarten has well maintained facilities including a newly refurbished kitchen. The indoor environment has a wet area, home corner and carpeted area. Children also use the large sheltered verandah for painting, woodwork and construction with large blocks.
The Kindy provides modern computing facilities, with children able to access a "Kidsmart" computer and a 52" Interactive Touch screen with internet connection.
The beautiful outdoor play area at Wilmington Kindergarten features a huge sandpit, climbing equipment, play house and car, swings and vegetable patch. A pepper tree provides shade to the sandpit and eating area, while swings are covered by a shade structure.
An extensive range of outdoor play equipment is stored in a large garden shed.
Wilmington Kindergarten is an Asthma Friendly environment.

Session Times
At Wilmington Kindy we offer three sessions of preschool a week for 3½ to 5 year olds.
Pre-entry:
The kindy offers one session per week on a Thursday morning to children aged 3¼ in the term before they are eligible to attend Kindy. A fee of $25.00 is charged for the term.
Kindy Fees:
$50.00 per term (3 sessions per week)
$80.00 per term (for two children in the same family attending together)

Playgroup Information
Playgroup is held every Wednesday between 9.30am and 11.00am. All families and carers with children from birth to five years are welcome to attend. The cost is $1.00 per child.
Please bring a piece of fruit to share.
Occasional Care
Unfunded Occasional Care is available on Tuesday and Thursday. Sessions are:
Tuesday 9am – 11:30am or 12:45 – 3:15
Thursday 9am -11:30am.
